Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will provide top-quality grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our furry clients. Your dedication to animal care, combined with excellent customer service skills, will create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers the opportunity to work in a lively environment dedicated to animal well-being and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle animals safely and confidently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat, skin condition, and overall health; communicate any concerns or abnormalities to pet owners or veterinary staff Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working order Provide pet care advice to owners on grooming routines, coat maintenance, and general animal health tips Assist with dog training sessions or behavioral assessments when needed to support overall pet well-being Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling or restraint tasks during medical procedures or examinations Experience Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary technician or assistant responsibilities related to animal health and safety is a plus Familiarity with dog training techniques and behavioral management enhances your ability to work effectively with diverse animals Experience with veterinary procedures such as animal restraint or basic first aid is advantageous Previous kennel or pet sitting experience demonstrates your ability to handle multiple animals responsibly Strong customer service skills are essential for communicating effectively with pet owners and providing exceptional service Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment Join us as a Groomer and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families!
