Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling role providing essential occupational therapy services in a dynamic school-centered setting near the beautiful Aptos, CA area. This contract opportunity is designed for a dedicated occupational therapy professional passionate about supporting student development across multiple environments—including school sites, home health visits, and teletherapy sessions.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) Previous experience in school-based OT, home health, and teletherapy formats highly desirable Solid foundation in gross motor skill interventions and pediatric therapeutic techniques Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to adapt interventions to meet the needs of diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group occupational therapy sessions to support students' academic and functional goals Complete thorough assessments and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each student Facilitate gross motor skill development to enhance participation in school activities Maintain detailed documentation, track progress, and participate in IEP meetings Consult with educational staff, caregivers, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care across settings—including school, home, and virtual environments Offer guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications as needed
