Groundskeeper and Gardner--Seasonal--Private Club (No H2B sponsorship)

Immediate Opportunity-- Private Club Little Harbor Club is seeking a full-time groundskeeper to attend to the flowers and plantings of the Club grounds during our busy summer season. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Job duties include, but are not limited to: planting and maintenance of garden beds and containers irrigation and fertilization of garden beds and containers deadheading of flowers pruning, mulching, watering of trees, shrubs, and vines, including perimeter plantings weeding and composting monitoring and treatment of health problems of all plant material operation and utilization of basic landscape tools (hedge trimmers, blowers, pruners, spades, etc.) recordkeeping and planting database updates other related work as needed, such as furniture and equipment maintenance, painting, opening/closing maintenance, etc. Qualifications Significant experience in gardening work including watering, fertilizing, potting, repotting, pruning, grooming, and general maintenance, AND/OR completion of a horticulture-related program from an accredited college-recognized horticulture program Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to perform strenuous physical tasks under a variety of conditions Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays in season. Ability to work in all weather and temperature conditions Complete background check is a condition of employment Must possess valid driver's license. Chauffeur's license preferred Pre-employment 6-panel screening required.
