Job Description
This position teaches a variety of group exercise classes per Logan Health policies and the assigned area(s) protocol.

Minimum of one (1) of the following certification in area of instruction required: PiYo Aquatic Exercise Cycling Zumba Yoga Pilates Tai Chi Nationally recognized Group Exercise certification Nationally recognized Personal Trainer certification Specialty certification directly related to area of instruction Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or related field preferred. CurrentHS AED CPR
certification or must successfully obtain within ninety (90) days of hire. Minimum of two (2) years experience teaching group exercise classes preferred. Possess ability to communicate orally to individuals and small groups. Demonstrated knowledge of exercise equipment and functionality. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently. Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.Job Specific Duties:
Provides state of the art class instruction to class participants. Closely monitors the safety of all class participants during all phases of the class session. Teaches appropriate exercise techniques, provides exercise modification(s) and/or restriction specific to individual needs. Assesses participant's health status, goals, and motivation to train. Identifies barriers that may limit opportunity for success. Ensures the program is conducive to the participant's work/lifestyle. Works closely with leadership to maximize class quality, safety and participant satisfaction. Advises of possible improvements, changes in schedules, canceled classes, etc. Maintains accurate records according to industry and department protocol. Responds to emergencies according to policies/procedures. Maintains a clean and orderly exercise area. PRN , scheduled as needed Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed. PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
