Job Description

Job Description The Chaldean Community Foundation (CCF) improves the stability, health, and wellness of those we serve through advocacy, acculturation, community development and cultural preservation. The Chaldean Community Foundation is seeking a qualified and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to provide high-quality preschool instruction in a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) classroom. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, supporting children's social-emotional and academic growth, and fostering strong partnerships with families. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum aligned with GSRP and State of Michigan early childhood standards.
  • Provide daily classroom instruction that supports school readiness in areas such as literacy, math, social-emotional development, STEM, and creative arts.
  • Conduct ongoing child assessments using approved GSRP assessment tools and use data to inform instruction.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports diverse learners and families.
  • Collaborate with Associate Teacher, support staff, and GSRP team members to ensure program quality and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families through regular communication, conferences, and engagement activities.
  • Participate in required GSRP meetings, professional development, and coaching sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, GSRP implementation guidelines, and program requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including lesson plans, attendance, assessments, and family engagement records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Key Competencies

  • A valid State of Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; or
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching .
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in early childhood or preschool classroom instruction preferred.
  • Experience with GSRP, HighScope, or similar early childhood curriculum and assessment tools preferred. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, and actively engage with young children for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and adjust physically to interact with children at their level.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to operate classroom and office equipment.
