Job Description
The Head Coach of Swim and Dive has an exciting opportunity to lead a program with a strong history and significant potential. Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Head Coach provides vision and leadership for all aspects of the SCSU Swim and Dive program, with a primary focus on developing a high-quality student-athlete experience. Consistent with the values of NCAA Division II, the head coach provides a competitive athletic experience while supporting the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes. Responsibilities also include recruiting, training, fiscal oversight, administrative duties, alumni engagement, fundraising, and community engagement activities. Working collaboratively with the Athletics and Recreation team, campus colleagues, alumni and other stakeholders, the head coach will maximize visibility for the athletics program to develop university spirit and pride. The head coach must exhibit an ability to effectively work with a diverse population of student-athletes and coaches in a cultural climate that celebrates diversity. The successful candidate will be required to complete the NCAA certification exam. These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
