Head Food Packer/Stocker

The purpose of this position is to receive, stock, and provide quality and efficiently packed food items for our wilderness multi day canyon trips, as well as maintain all storage areas. The Head Food packer will work with the Kitchen and Downriver Trips management to have the proper quantity and quality of items for our multi day trips. This will include working closely with the Executive Chef and morning cooks, to get the right items ordered. This position would be under direction from the Executive Chef. Qualifications:

Basic food handling skills Valid Oregon Food handlers Certificate Self-motivated Highly skilled in organization and cleanliness Fantastic communication Duties Packing food for trips Packing and cleaning camp boxes Keeping kitchen, storage areas clean Working with the Executive Chef on items needing to be ordered, or if quality of items is not there for pack Working with Downriver Trips management to insure feedback from guides and guests is received and implemented Getting the proper dietary needs of guests from the office and substituting pack items as needed to accommodate. Using the proper programs to print off packing lists Following a packing list with quantities. Being efficient with food packing and best use of containers. Receiving food deliveries, taking stock, and proper storage of food. Prepping items that are needed in the kitchen. Train and Oversee any additional packers Make sure that all trips are receiving the same quality of food
