Job Description
We are a fast-growing, high-volume specialty food company seeking a Head of Production & Operations to lead and scale our centralized production systems. This role is ideal for a pastry-driven culinary leader who has successfully managed teams, built systems, and overseen end-to-end production in a demanding, quality-focused environment. You will be responsible for translating culinary excellence into consistent, scalable operations —while maintaining the integrity of a premium product. Core Responsibilities Oversee all daily production across a centralized kitchen facility Lead, train, and manage a multi-level production team Build and enforce systems for consistency, efficiency, and quality control Develop production schedules aligned with multi-location demand Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Own food safety, compliance, and sanitation standards Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams Ideal Background Professional training in pastry arts or culinary arts (advanced level strongly preferred) 5-10+ years of experience in high-volume production environments Proven experience managing teams and leading production at scale Strong operational mindset: systems, structure, and accountability Experience with multi-unit or centralized production is highly preferred Ability to balance craftsmanship with efficiency What We're Looking For A builder —someone who can create systems, not just follow them A leader —someone who holds high standards and develops people A problem solver —someone who moves quickly and takes ownership Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment Why This Role Opportunity to shape and scale a rapidly growing production operation High level of ownership and autonomy Work with a team that values quality, discipline, and continuous improvement
Pay:
