In this role, you will deliver holistic acupuncture treatments aimed at alleviating pain, promoting healing, and enhancing overall well-being. Your expertise in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), combined with your commitment to patient care, will help clients achieve optimal health outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop personalized treatment plans. Administer acupuncture treatments using sterile techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each session. Utilize trigger point therapy and other manual techniques to target acute pain areas effectively. Incorporate herbal medicine techniques as part of integrative treatment approaches when appropriate. Perform physical examinations and utilize medical terminology accurately to diagnose and monitor patient progress. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, chiropractors, or physical therapists to coordinate patient care strategies. Maintain detailed records for all patient interactions, documenting treatments, progress notes, and relevant health information. Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices to support ongoing recovery. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and hygiene protocols to prevent infections during procedures. Stay current with advancements in pain medicine, physiology knowledge, and acupuncture techniques through continuous learning. Experience Proven experience in pain management, especially with acute pain cases requiring trigger point therapy or similar manual techniques. Strong background in healthcare diagnosis, physical examinations, and client communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of TCM principles, anatomy, physiology, and herbal medicine application. Prior experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams is preferred. Hands-on experience with acupuncture procedures, including needle placement and patient assessment for treatment efficacy. Knowledge of aseptic technique standards and infection control practices in clinical settings is required.
