Job Summary The Acupuncturist provides care to the highest standard of evidence-based care and ensures an optimal patient experience in an integrated care environment. This includes participating in care team conferences, health outcomes analysis, and care coordination activities. Job Responsibilities Participates in the selection of a comprehensive treatment plans for all patients, focusing on achieving patient goals and functional improvement Participates in the selection of cost-effective treatment modalities Obtains and records patients' medical histories Diagnoses health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patient Maintains accurate treatment records for patients Advises patients about recommended treatment options Counsels patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other related matters Consults with and refers patients to appropriate health practitioners, when necessary Directs case management to minimize over utilization of maintenance care and maintain a low patient visit average Participates in quality improvement programs, as well as participates in multidisciplinary quality assurance programs that monitor the performance of Crossover's written policies Collaborates with the care team to ensure improvement of patient care Uses best efforts to cooperate with clinical outcome reviews and measurements as may be established by the site Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications 5-7 years of professional clinical experience in acupuncture Graduate from an accredited school and pass the national board exam Must meet all standards set by the national accreditation body, Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification For positions in
