We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Acupuncturist to join our growing team and provide personalised acupuncture treatments to our clients. Salternative Spa provides the treatment space, supplies, equipment, scheduling, marketing, and client support, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional care. The Role As a Licensed Acupuncturist, you will work with clients to understand their individual concerns and wellness goals and provide safe, personalised acupuncture treatments. We are looking for someone who combines strong clinical skills with a warm, professional approach and understands the level of service expected within a premium spa and wellness environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct client consultations and assess individual wellness needs and treatment goals Develop personalised acupuncture treatment plans Perform safe and effective acupuncture treatments in accordance with Illinois regulations and professional standards Monitor client progress and adjust treatments when appropriate Educate clients on treatment expectations, aftercare, and relevant wellness recommendations Maintain accurate and confidential client treatment records Maintain a clean, organised, relaxing, and treatment-ready environment Follow all appropriate infection-control, sanitation, and needle-disposal procedures Ensure clients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their experience Work collaboratively with massage therapists, estheticians, and other members of the Salternative Spa team Help create an exceptional client experience that encourages retention and repeat visits

Qualifications Required:

Current and active license to practise acupuncture in the State of Illinois Graduate of an accredited acupuncture programme Strong knowledge of acupuncture safety, contraindications, sanitation, and infection-control requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional, dependable, and client-focused Ability to provide compassionate and personalised care Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a spa, wellness centre, integrative health practice, or similar environment Experience with cupping therapy Experience with gua sha Training or experience in electroacupuncture or other complementary modalities Experience supporting clients with stress, muscle tension, pain management, headaches, sleep, recovery, and general wellness Strong client-retention skills Experience working within a multidisciplinary wellness environment Compensation & Schedule $25-$30 per hour, based on experience Part-time position Flexible scheduling based on availability and client demand Opportunity for additional hours as the spa and acupuncture services grow What We Provide Professional, fully equipped treatment space Acupuncture treatment supplies and equipment Scheduling and booking support Marketing and client acquisition Reception and administrative support Cleaning and operational support A professional, luxury spa environment Opportunity to work alongside other experienced wellness and spa professionals We are looking for an acupuncturist who is passionate about holistic wellness, takes pride in providing exceptional client care, and is excited to become part of the Salternative Spa team.
