Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Acupuncture Office Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide administrative and clerical support within a busy acupuncture clinic, ensuring smooth daily operations and patient service. You will help create a welcoming environment for patients while supporting clinical staff. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to holistic health care setting. Duties Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, manage flow, coordinate front desk tasks. Assist acupuncturist with any tasks including hands-on tasks throughout office and in patient rooms. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications. Complete medical billing and coding, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) ICD-10 coding. Manage medical collections process by following up on outstanding balances and processing payments Support practitioner with intake procedures, medical record management, clean up and set up the patient rooms. Qualifications Experience in a medical office environment or healthcare setting. Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 codes, CPT coding, and insurance billing procedure. Handle patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines with confidentiality. Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and record keeping. Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
