Rehabilitation & Spinal Decompression AssistantAbout the Position Sage Clinic of Chiropractic is seeking an energetic, dependable, and highly personable Rehabilitation & Spinal Decompression Assistant to join our patient-care team in Newtown Square. This is an active, patient-facing position for someone who enjoys helping people, communicates confidently, and takes pride in creating an exceptional patient experience. You will work directly with our doctors and patients while overseeing spinal decompression appointments, assisting with therapeutic exercises, and keeping the clinical area running smoothly and efficiently. No prior chiropractic experience is required. We will provide hands-on training in our equipment, treatment protocols, documentation systems, and patient procedures. However, the right candidate must be motivated to learn, comfortable following detailed protocols, and confident working independently once trained. Primary Responsibilities Set up, monitor, and assist patients during nonsurgical spinal decompression sessions Guide patients through prescribed rehabilitation exercises and therapeutic activities Set up and operate rehabilitation equipment according to established clinical protocols Monitor patient comfort and communicate relevant observations to the doctor Maintain accurate treatment records and document completed procedures Help manage patient flow and keep appointments running on schedule Prepare, organize, and maintain clean treatment and rehabilitation areas Build positive, encouraging relationships with patients throughout their care Reinforce home-care instructions and office procedures as directed by the doctor Assist with checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and answering phones when needed Scan, copy, and organize patient records and other office documents Support the clinical and front-office teams wherever needed The Right Person for This Position Is Warm, upbeat, confident, and comfortable engaging with people throughout the day Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule Organized and attentive to details Able to manage several responsibilities without losing focus Comfortable learning scripts, clinical procedures, and treatment protocols Coachable and willing to study and practice outside of hands-on training Able to take initiative and recognize what needs to be done Professional in appearance, communication, and conduct Patient-focused and able to make people feel comfortable, welcomed, and cared for Interested in health, wellness, rehabilitation, or helping others improve their quality of life Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer-service and telephone skills Ability to follow detailed instructions and established clinical protocols Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software Ability to maintain positive working relationships with patients, coworkers, and doctors High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, fitness, physical therapy, chiropractic, hospitality, or customer service is helpful but not required CPR certification is preferred or must be obtained after hiring Physical Requirements This is an active position that requires standing and moving throughout the workday. The employee must be able to assist patients with equipment and exercises, repeatedly bend and reach, and safely lift or move up to 30 pounds.
