The role offers clinical autonomy, professional development, administrative support, and collaboration within an established practice. This position is particularly well suited to a recent graduate or early-career practitioner who wants to develop clinical confidence and build a thriving clinical schedule with the benefit of experienced mentorship, professional training, and an established practice behind them. We offer a high degree of clinical and scheduling autonomy, while providing the infrastructure, mentorship, and administrative support that allow our practitioners to spend the vast majority of their working time doing what they trained to do: taking care of patients. Compensation

• Acupuncture treatments: 50% of collected revenue.
• Retail sales: 22.5% of collected revenue.
• Injection therapy services, when applicable: 50% of collected revenue.
• Full-time equivalent (FTE) compensation range: approximately $80,000-$120,000 annually, with actual compensation dependent on patient volume and services provided. Primary Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality acupuncture and related patient care within Washington scope of practice.
• Prepare and manage herbal formulas when appropriate to training and clinical role.
• Maintain timely, clear, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Guide patients through the full visit—from check-in through treatment, checkout, and rescheduling when appropriate—to build trust, strengthen the therapeutic relationship, and provide a consistent, elevated patient experience.
• Respond to communication regarding the provider's patients and answer reasonable patient-account questions when approached.
• Maintain working knowledge of non-clinical patient-facing functions so questions and concerns can be addressed when appropriate or efficiently directed to the appropriate team member.
• Communicate with clinic staff regarding patient issues, insurance changes, and clinic operations.
• Participate in clinical review and request consultation for cases not responding as expected or outside the provider's training or knowledge base.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and clinic business information and use clinic technology professionally.

Schedule & Expectations Work schedule is determined collaboratively based on patient demand, provider preference, and clinic space availability. The provider is expected to deliver excellent care, maintain clear documentation, engage with VHH's collaborative clinic culture, and plan time off as needed. VHH allows employees significant flexibility in scheduling and time away from the clinic. Time off should be planned and communicated with reasonable notice whenever possible and should not be so frequent or prolonged that it materially disrupts continuity of care or prevents patients from reasonably following their recommended treatment plans. Qualifications

• Current Washington State acupuncture license/AEMP credential in good standing, or eligibility for licensure with an anticipated licensure date.
• Herbal medicine competency required when prescribing or dispensing herbs.
• Acupoint injection therapy credentialing required before providing injection therapy services.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative clinical skills.
• Active or in process credentialing with major health insurers preferred. Benefits & Professional Development

• Professional liability coverage paid by VHH once exclusively practicing at VHH or maintaining a 30-patient-per-week average over six (6) weeks.
• Continuing education reimbursement of 50% of approved CE costs, up to $650 per calendar year, once exclusively practicing at VHH or maintaining a 30-patient-per-week average over six (6) weeks.

Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Clinic Director and collaborates with other VHH staff and practitioners. Professional Freedom VHH does not require exclusivity or noncompetition agreements as a condition of employment. Providers retain the freedom to practice elsewhere, subject to applicable law and their continuing obligations regarding patient confidentiality, clinic information, professional boundaries, and ethical conduct. VHH values the trust it has built with its patients and expects providers to respect those relationships throughout and following their employment. Providers are expected to avoid conduct that improperly diverts or solicits patients or otherwise undermines those professional relationships.
