Job Description

Associate Therapist (AMFT/ASW) — Private Practice LifeBloom Therapy Los Angeles, CA Job Details Part-time $45 - $70 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Flexible schedule Qualifications Referral-based lead generation Post-session clinical documentation Caseload management Professional ethics Sales referrals ACSW Client relationship development Expanding health & wellness client base Client acquisition Client referrals AMFT Marketing Full Job Description Associate Therapist (AMFT/ASW) — Private Practice LifeBloom Therapy | Los Angeles, CA | W-2 Position Are you an associate therapist who wants to grow into a confident clinician while building a caseload that feels meaningful and sustainable? LifeBloom Therapy is a growing private-pay group practice serving adults and couples throughout California. We're looking for warm, motivated, relationally oriented Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) and Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs) who want more than a place to collect hours. We want to help you become an excellent therapist, develop your clinical identity, and learn how to build a practice around the clients and concerns you genuinely enjoy working with. About LifeBloom Therapy Our culture is warm, collaborative, growth-oriented, and down-to-earth. We take the work seriously without creating an environment that feels overly rigid or impersonal. This Position May Be a Great Fit If You... Value warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and strong therapeutic relationships Want to deepen your clinical skills and feel more confident in the therapy room Appreciate feedback and are willing to reflect on your work Are dependable, communicative, and professional Are motivated to build a consistent caseload and comfortable taking ownership of that process Are willing to actively market yourself, develop referral relationships, and strengthen your professional presence with our guidance and support Enjoy being part of a team while also being able to work independently Are looking for a practice where you can grow and invest for the next couple of years, not simply a temporary stop while accumulating hours What You'll ReceiveThoughtful Clinical Supervision Supervision at LifeBloom is intended to help you become a stronger therapist, not just fulfill a licensing requirement. You'll have space to discuss challenging cases, conceptualize clients more deeply, strengthen interventions, and develop greater confidence in your clinical judgment. Guidance & Support Building Your Caseload We believe learning how to build a caseload is an important part of becoming a successful private practice therapist, and we don't expect you to figure it out alone. LifeBloom provides guidance, resources, marketing support, and practice-wide visibility to help you grow. However, associates are ultimately responsible for actively building and maintaining their own caseload. This means being willing to consistently participate in marketing, networking, and referral-building efforts rather than relying solely on referrals generated by the practice. You'll receive guidance around areas such as: Identifying and communicating your clinical niche Creating and optimizing a strong Psychology Today profile Developing therapist bio and website copy Building and strengthening referral relationships Improving your visibility to prospective clients Participating in marketing and networking opportunities Converting consultations into ongoing clients A Sustainable Caseload Building a private-pay caseload takes time, consistency, and active effort. We believe in thoughtful growth rather than filling your schedule as quickly as possible. Your caseload will build gradually, and the pace of that growth will depend in part on your availability, niche, responsiveness to prospective clients, and participation in marketing and referral-building efforts. We'll support you throughout that process while encouraging you to take increasing ownership of your professional growth. A Collaborative Team Private practice doesn't have to mean practicing in isolation. You'll have access to consultation, supervision, and a team of therapists who genuinely want to see one another succeed. The Infrastructure of an Established Practice Instead of starting a private practice from scratch, you'll have access to the systems, infrastructure, supervision, and support of an established group practice while developing the clinical and practice-building skills that will serve you throughout your career. What We're Looking For Applicants must: Hold an active California AMFT or ASW registration in good standing Be eligible to accrue supervised clinical hours in California Demonstrate strong professionalism and ethical judgment Complete documentation accurately and on time Communicate reliably with clients, supervisors, and the LifeBloom team Be receptive to supervision, consultation, and feedback Be interested in developing clinical expertise rather than remaining a generalist indefinitely Be willing to actively participate in marketing, networking, and referral-building efforts Take initiative and ownership in developing and maintaining their caseload Be able to maintain consistent weekly availability as their caseload grows Be interested in making a meaningful commitment to the practice and their caseload We're Especially Interested in Therapists Who...
