Anesthesia Technician
SITE OF SERVICE
Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH), 1650 Cochrane Cir, Fort Carson, CO 80913, and other applicable locations within the MOU and ERSA.
HOURS:
Monday-Friday, 0700-1500.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Anesthesia Technician at Evans Army Community Hospital supports anesthesia services across the operating rooms and procedural areas of a military treatment facility. The role is hands-on, equipment-focused, and essential to safe perioperative patient care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or GED is the minimum; an associate degree in Anesthesia Technology or a 1-year certificate program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is preferred.
Licensure:
Not specified in the PWS.
Certification:
ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technologist is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
Minimum 12 months is preferred, but not required.
Citizenship:
U.S. citizenship is required.
Language:
All contractor personnel must demonstrate professional proficiency in the English language
Physical Capability:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods; lift and move patients or equipment as required by the clinical setting; and perform the physical demands inherent to the specialty.
DUTIES:
- Prepares, maintains, and operates anesthesia equipment under the guidance of the anesthesiology service.
- Ensures patient safety and comfort.
- Maintains appropriate quantities and restocks supplies as needed.
- Prepares operating rooms and anesthesia equipment for upcoming surgeries.
- Troubleshoots equipment when necessary.
- Assists with patient monitoring and airway management during procedures.
- Assists with arterial and venous line access.
- Assists with regional anesthetic procedures.
Special Requirements / Skills
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
