Job Summary and Qualifications The Anesthesia Technician provides support services for the Anesthesiologist, Registered Nurses and other medical staff working on the anesthesia team. What y ou w ill Do i n t his r ole: You will set up and maintain anesthesia machine an d equipment, pressure lines, gas cylinders, organize supplies, applying principles of asepsis and other appropriate guidelines under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse . You will ensure minimal delays in surgical schedule as a res ult of transport, room turnover or equipment management. You will assist in patient transfer to and from bed and transport devices using effective body mechanics and patient safety assistive devices such as roller boards, slide boards, gait belt and lift sheet. What q ualifications y ou w ill n eed: BLS certification required and maintained . 6 months to 1 year in a health care setting preferred. Experience in respiratory or surgical setting preferred.
