31-Jul-2026 Anesthesia Technician, PRN Akron, OH External Job Description and Responsibilities Support exceptional patient care behind the scenes as an Anesthesia Technician with TeamHealth Anesthesia. In this important clinical support role, you'll work closely with anesthesia providers to prepare equipment, maintain supplies, support patient procedures, and help ensure a safe, efficient environment for patients and care teams. What You'll Do As an Anesthesia Technician, you'll provide essential support to licensed anesthesia providers by preparing equipment, maintaining inventory, and assisting with patient care activities related to anesthesia services. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help ensure readiness for procedures and positive patient experiences. Key Responsibilities Prepare sterile block setups for total joint patients Assist anesthesia providers during block procedures, including: Ultrasound setup Preparing and dressing procedure areas Cleanup and proper sharps disposal Maintain adequate inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies Order non-stock anesthesia products as needed Monitor supplies and medications for expiration dates Clean, stock, and maintain emergency carts, including: Airway carts Epidural carts Trauma carts Pediatric carts Labor & Delivery carts Specialty carts Maintain drug par levels and supply inventory for assigned areas Prepare IV fluids for scheduled cases Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues Support additional departmental needs as assigned Requirements What Makes You Successful Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, and support staff Dependable, professional, and service-oriented approach Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and responding effectively under pressure Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-prepared clinical setting You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an Anesthesia Technician program strongly preferred 1+ year of relevant healthcare or anesthesia technician experience required Ability to maintain and manage clinical supplies and equipment Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work schedules that may include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, or other operational needs Job Benefits Why TeamHealth At TeamHealth, you'll join a culture built around collaboration, innovation, and purpose.
