40 Hours/Weekly Primarily day shift- with off shift/weekend/holiday/call rotation General Summary Performs a variety of duties to assist the Anesthesiologist/Nurse Anesthetist with clinical procedures.
Essential Functions:
Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Performs work similar to Anesthesia Technician I and II. Troubleshoots anesthesia equipment and performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance. Coordinates major repairs and maintains appropriate maintenance records. Establishes and implements standards for room preparation and cleanup and anesthesia equipment maintenance. Prepares and sets up operating room with required supplies and equipment. Sets up and assists with invasive monitoring lines. Cleans and stocks all operating rooms and supply carts with necessary anesthesia supplies and emergency drugs. Cleans and sterilizes all equipment used in the administration of anesthesia. Trains anesthesia technicians on equipment repair and maintenance. Responsible for the care and maintenance of department/entity equipment and supplies. Monitors departmental supply levels and orders supplies as necessary.Common Expectations:
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Attends meetings as required.Qualifications Minimum Education:
