An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Key Responsibilities Plan, lead, and facilitate structured therapeutic groups (arts & crafts, recreation, games, music, drama, sports, community outings, etc.). Encourage participants to build social skills, confidence, and independence through meaningful activities. Document progress with tally sheets, service notes, and reports for review by licensed practitioners. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maximize participation and outcomes. Update and maintain curriculum binders, resident behavior guides, and quarterly reports. Provide flexibility to meet the individualized needs of program participants. Support a positive, safe, and engaging environment that promotes functional skills and growth. Transport participants to and from community outings as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support therapeutic programming. What We're Looking For Bachelor's in Psychology, Social Work, Teaching, or related field required Experience with clinical notes or TBI/ABI population a plus Creative, adaptable, and team-oriented
