Job Description
At Oceans Behavioral Hospital Greater New Orleans, healing is our focus. We are passionate about helping adults and seniors manage the challenges associated with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. Utilizing proven, innovative and progressive therapies, our qualified professionals strive to promote long-term wellness through a range of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric counseling and treatment options. •This position is for a NEW program in our Marrero Adult IOP starting December 1, 2025. Part Time. Hours are Monday - Thursday 5pm-8pm. •As a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, our Intensive Outpatient Program therapists provide direct clinical services - including assessments, interventions, treatment planning and discharge planning, as well as providing individual, family, and/or group therapy to further patient/family/group progress in treatment. At times, IOP therapists may be required to facilitate inpatient support.
Essential Functions:
Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice. Plans and conducts group therapy as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program or physician's order. Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment. Reviews all Multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under the supervision of the attending physician. Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Intensive Outpatient Program. Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals; combines the reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary, which facilitates the patient's progress towards treatment plan goals. Delivers patient services in an ethical manner which promotes respect for the patient and enhances the patient's dignity and satisfaction; Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret a patient's response to treatment in age/disability/culturally sensitive specific manner. Assesses and interprets age/disability/cultural needs; Identifies safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs; and Communicates in an age/disability/culturally sensitive related manner to patients and their families. Conducts treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age/disability/cultural needs and involves members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate.
