Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Art Therapist Part Time port Healthcare United States, Minnesota, Monticello 123 90th Street Northeast (Show on map) Aug 05, 2026 What You'll Do The Experiential Therapist guides clients through various activities that seek to engage, challenge, and enact change through their area of specialization. Develops and facilitates weekly therapy groups and individual sessions in area of specialization. Supports the program with assessments, crisis management, and other clinical functions as required.
Essential Duties:
Develop and deliver a comprehensive 12-week therapeutic curriculum in area of specialization. Facilitate group and individual sessions, in area of specialization, as assigned and as needed with an expectation of 50% direct client care hours. Collaborate with Treatment Team when an experiential modality is an appropriate medium for clients to access and process trauma. Observe and document client reactions, progress, or other outcomes related to the therapy and communicate as needed with client's treatment team to ensure continuity of care. May be asked to conduct assessments or provide crisis management as needed. Assess milieu needs and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed based on client needs. Collaborate with Experiential Supervisor and Clinical Director on program development and coordinating experiential therapeutic services, as well as program activities. Responsible for timely completion of clinical documentation of progress and group notes according to established standards Attend clinical meetings and supervision as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. What Makes You a Great Fit Master's degree in clinical or expressive arts discipline required. Board certified in area of specialization preferred. Experience providing group and individual therapy with adolescents and young adults in residential setting preferred.
