DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES SUMMARY

The Clinical Intern will provide mental health and substance use treatment for youth and their families in an outpatient setting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESComplete intake documentation and initial assessmentsProvide evidence based mental health interventions for individual, group, crisis intervention, and family sessions as prescribed in the treatment plan Collaborate with referral sources and collateral contacts regularlyResponsible for the maintenance of client records in compliance with OMH, OMIG, and OASAS regulations. Complete discharge summaries and coordinate transition planningEngage in case consultation with community providers as needed; assess, evaluate, and discuss progress, updates and interventions in the treatment plan where appropriateContact parents and appropriate authorities in case of emergenciesSecure and link client and family to community-based resourcesDevelop an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the client and parent/guardian based on assessment and complete treatment plan reviews with the client and parent/guardianSeeks clinical supervision to develop competencies and skills in areas of professional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be currently enrolled a Bachelors or Masters level, license eligible Social Work or Counseling program
