An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Responsibilities Join the excellent team at Cedar Hills Hospital as an Inpatient Therapist! This position performs functions assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs and gaining skills through therapeutic treatment. This includes delivering clinical therapy and crisis intervention, providing personalized care plans, conducting group therapy and discharge planning. It also includes ensuring required documentation is completed in a timely, compliant manner.
Qualifications Requirements:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or equivalent 1 year of related experience is preferred State license within two years of employment
