Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will utilize creative arts therapies to promote emotional, psychological, and physical well-being among diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help individuals express themselves, process complex emotions, and improve their overall mental health through innovative art-based interventions. Duties Develop and implement individualized art therapy treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals Facilitate both individual and group art therapy sessions to foster self-expression, emotional regulation, and healing Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical staff, mental health professionals, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive patient care Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as music therapy, dance therapy, recreational therapy, and behavioral health techniques as appropriate Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessment and adjust therapy approaches accordingly Support patients with disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia care, hospice care, pediatrics, and addiction counseling as needed Requirements Bachelor's or master's degree in art therapy, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution Certification or licensure as an Art Therapist (e.g., ATR-BC) preferred or eligible for certification Proven experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or mental health conditions Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and experience applying them within therapeutic settings Familiarity with medical documentation practices including CPT coding for billing purposes Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare environments Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse populations in both individual and group settings Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings providing patient care across various age groups and diagnoses Join us to inspire hope and foster healing through the power of art! $52,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
