An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description
- We are looking for a contract therapist to join the practice. As a contract therapist you will provide clinical outpatient therapy services to adults, children and families.
- We are looking for someone that's caring, interested in expanding knowledge on mental health topics, and is self motivated.
- As a contract therapist you will be in charge of assessments, diagnosis and treatment for mental health conditions.
- Cases will be screened and referred to you based on the appropriateness of your training and your comfort level. Job duties
- Services may include conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, patient intake, obtaining psycho-social history, providing individual and family therapy.
- The therapist will maintain the client's schedule.
- The therapist must submit timely and complete notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other applicable documentation from all completed sessions as needed for reimbursement. Qualifications
- Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Professional Counseling, MFT, Social Work, Marriage Family Counselor, Clinical Psychology. Associate license professionals are welcome to apply.
- Maintain North Carolina license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Counselor Professional , Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Benefits
