An Art Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving art, crafts, and similar activities. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

General Responsibilities:
The Therapist will be under the direction of the Clinical Director and will be primarily responsible for providing therapeutic services for the residents of the facility, as well as conduct intake assessments under the supervision of the Case Manager Supervisor, as requested, by DCS. As a Lead Therapist you would help direct the team of 6 therapists.
Qualifications and Experience:
A therapist must have at least a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in a field related to Human Service.
NO FELONY CONVICTIONS.
Must pass a drug screen and background check and maintain eligibility for continued employment.
