• Fulltime (40 Hrs Wk) No weekends
• 3 days off
• 9am-7:00pm Monday
• Thursday-Master's Degree in Human Service Field required.

Position serves as the primary therapist for patients referred by US Southern District Court System. The Addiction Therapist, a member of the Chesapeake Healthcare Team, provides critical alcohol and other drug assessment, treatment, and referral services to patients referred to the Chesapeake Healthcare Center program. The Addiction Therapist maintains all the required certifications and skills necessary to function within the guidelines of this description and policy and procedure. Position Responsibilities Work with other professional staff to collaborate on treatment methods and plans for patient Counsel patients both individually and within group sessions as appropriate Create and modify individualized treatment strategies based on research, clinical knowledge, patient history and evaluations of progress while in treatment Advise family members and friends in how best to understand patients' struggles and provide support during the recovery process

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field plus one year of clinical experience in an alcohol or other drugs (AOD) or mental health setting preferred LCSW, LPC, AADC, or MAC preferred Combination of comparable skills, experience, and education Experience in evidenced based practices Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment preferred Understanding and supportive of a trauma-informed system of care Experience with stages of change, cognitive behavioral therapies including DBT, and motivational therapies The successful candidate will have good time management skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
