Strength & Conditioning Coach Job Overview:
Nexiya is seeking two motivated and engaging wellness professionals with experience in strength and conditioning, mobility training, functional movement, and injury prevention. These individuals will fill the role of Athletic Trainer / Strength & Conditioning Coach, providing crucial support to our client who is a major utility company in San Diego. This role is based in Mission Valley and is focused on proactive employee wellness, mobility, and injury prevention for both field-based and office-based employees. Candidates will lead group strength training, stretching, mobility, and wellness sessions while supporting employee movement quality and overall physical readiness. This is not a physical therapy or injury treatment role.

PM Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead daily strength, stretching, mobility, warm-up, and functional movement classes for field and office employees Conduct movement screenings and wellness assessments for employees entering the program Facilitate proactive injury prevention and wellness programming focused on mobility, flexibility, recovery, hydration, nutrition, posture, and strength Travel to district sites as needed to conduct onsite wellness and mobility sessions Deliver group training sessions for utility field personnel, including laborers, welders, pipefitters, electricians, and office employees Adapt movement programming to align with specific job functions and physical work demands Support employee wellness initiatives through presentations, coaching, and virtual training sessions Build strong relationships with employees to encourage participation and trust within the wellness program Monitor employee progress and movement improvements through ongoing assessments and feedback Utilize existing wellness programming and training plans to support employee development Maintain equipment used for stretching and mobility sessions including foam rollers, medicine balls, resistance bands, and related fitness tools Collaborate with wellness and training teams to support program consistency and expansion Perform other job duties as assigned
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Human Performance, or related field preferred Minimum 3 years of experience in strength and conditioning, athletic training, wellness coaching, or related role, preferably within industrial, tactical, or corporate wellness environments Experience leading large group fitness, mobility, or wellness sessions preferred Strong understanding of functional movement systems (FMS), mobility training, injury prevention, recovery principles, and strength and conditioning fundamentals CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or TSAC-F (Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator) certification strongly preferred CPT or similar fitness certifications considered Experience working with tactical athletes, industrial athletes, or physically demanding professions is a plus Ability to motivate employees and build strong working relationships across diverse groups Ability to work in a team environment Strong communication and presentation skills Must be able to successfully pass our background screening process A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Candidate must be eligible to work in the
