Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Game Day Athletic Trainer to support our 16U and 18U hockey teams during the Fall 2026 and 2027 seasons. This paid position involves providing essential athletic training services during home games, ensuring player safety, injury prevention, and immediate response to injuries. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our athletes on game days. Duties Provide on-site athletic training support during all home hockey games scheduled for Fall 2026 and 2027, including the 16U and 18U teams. Be present at approximately 16 home games per season, with the specific schedule to be provided for the Fall 2026/27 season. Assess and manage injuries or medical emergencies that occur during games, implementing appropriate first aid or emergency procedures. Assist in injury prevention strategies, including pre-game warm-ups and equipment checks. Collaborate with coaching staff to monitor player health and provide recommendations for safe gameplay. Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments administered, and any follow-up actions required. Ensure all athletic training activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. Requirements Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or equivalent qualification. Prior experience in sports medicine, athletic training, or related fields is preferred. Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations during game days. Strong communication skills to coordinate with coaches, players, and medical personnel. Availability to attend all scheduled home games during the Fall 2026/27 season. Knowledge of hockey-specific injury risks and prevention techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. Must be reliable, professional, and committed to athlete safety.
