Athletic Trainer PRN - Variance in schedule
Job Description:
The PRN Certified Athletic Trainer will provide as-needed sports medicine coverage for area high school and other athletic events in partnership with Baptist Health Hardin Sports Medicine. This role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation while ensuring athlete safety and maintaining communication with coaches, school administrators, and medical staff. The PRN AT will be utilized for daily practices, game-day coverage, tournaments, or special event support, filling in for full-time athletic trainers when necessary. Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referrals in the injury tracking and referral electronic health record program.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Certification to practice athletic training in the state of Kentucky via State Board of Medical Licensure. BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) - required within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of disability and problems commonly encountered in the care of orthopedic and sports-oriented patients preferred.
