Job Description

Wellness Workdays is seeking a Full-Time ONSITE benefited certified athletic trainer position offering a competitive salary, great benefits, and culture as well as excellent growth opportunities. We are looking for a Full-time candidate in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Onsite hours are 6:30 am
  • 3:00 pm Monday-Friday.

  • About this position We are seeking a passionate certified athletic trainer/ wellness professional to provide ONSITE injury management and one-on-one health behavior change interventions for our construction client partners.
You will promote a healthy culture and strive to engage employees in the company's well-being offerings. This candidate will serve as a wellness ambassador and role model. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide triage and acute services to various trades at a construction site
  • Effectively communicate with medical direction/oversight
  • Provide one-to-one health coaching for workers
  • Lead stretch and flex, warm-up sessions for various workers onsite
  • Work closely with safety committees, union representatives, and foremen to provide wellness education to the population
  • Create and deploy health promotion, education, activities, and challenges
  • Track health behavior change using proprietary health coaching software
  • Conduct in-person health risk assessments, drug screens, and biometric screens (training provided)
Qualifications and Skills:
Requirements:
NOTE:
You MUST be a Certified Athletic Trainer through the BOC and possess or be eligible for MA State Licensure (LAT) through the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professionals . Cardiac care/CPR/AED required Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, walk on uneven surfaces (dirt, rock, mud, etc.), walk several flights of stairs per day, be exposed to various environmental & lighting conditions, and assist injured individuals on/off work areas
Preferred:
First Aid certification preferred Experience with construction / industrial settings OSHA certification Trained to provide cholesterol and blood pressure screenings Experience with motivational interviewing Adept at counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
