Manteo High School Athletic Trainer 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 829 Wingina Avenue, Manteo, NC 27954 Full-time Dare County Schools 11 reviews Full-time Athletic Trainer / Athletic Training Instructor Manteo High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and performance of our student-athletes while also providing high-quality instruction in Athletic Training courses.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide athletic training services for student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play planning. Attend and provide coverage for athletic practices, home athletic contests, and selected away events as assigned. Collaborate with coaches, administrators, parents, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate care and communication regarding student-athlete health needs. Maintain accurate injury documentation, treatment records, and required medical compliance information. Develop and implement emergency action plans and assist with athletic safety protocols. Teach Athletic Training and related health science courses in accordance with state standards and district expectations. Create engaging learning experiences that connect classroom instruction to real-world athletic training and sports medicine practices. Support students pursuing careers in sports medicine, healthcare, and related fields through hands-on learning opportunities, certifications, and career exploration experiences. Participate in school, district, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
Valid Athletic Trainer certification and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina. Appropriate North Carolina teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the assigned content area. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners.
