Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our dynamic orthopedic based, physical therapy practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in sports rehabilitation, injury prevention, and athlete care, with a passion for promoting health and optimal performance among athletes. The Licensed Athletic Trainer will play a vital role in implementing injury prevention protocols, delivering treatment plans, and supporting overall health through comprehensive care. Responsibilities Assess and treat musculoskeletal injuries using evidence-based sports medicine techniques and rehabilitation therapies. Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, and rehabilitation strategies to facilitate recovery. Implement injury prevention protocols by analyzing body mechanics and educating patients on proper movement techniques. Maintain accurate notes and documentation using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Communicate clearly with clients about treatment procedures, progress updates, and injury management strategies to foster trust and compliance. Requirements Valid licensure as an Athletic Trainer in accordance with N.Y. state or national licensing boards. Proven experience working with athletes across various sports disciplines, including sports medicine and injury treatment. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record keeping. Expertise in sports rehabilitation therapy, injury prevention protocols, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate patients throughout treatment. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
