Job Description

The Essentials:
Schedule:
Full-Time (40 hrs/week) | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift | No weekends/holidays
Location:
Fairlawn, OH & Cuyahoga Falls, OHSpecialties:

May be required to travel between clinic locations as needed
What You'll Do:
Fit patients with prescribed durable medical equipment (DME) and orthoses, including education, modification and proper use.

Participates in all aspects of the DME program, including insurance verification, billing, and patient guidance. Obtain insurance authorizations, verify benefits, and explain coverage to patients. Schedule DME appointments and send referrals to vendors per insurance guidelines. Coordinate timely delivery of equipment, including surgical needs, and send referrals as necessary.

Complete and update patient forms; review EMR for progress notes and stat orders; prepare charge tickets. Enter DME charges with correct modifiers; dispense equipment through inventory system.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited program required. Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of demonstrated experience as an Athletic Trainer or related field, preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in EMR systems preferred. Knowledge of clinical safety protocols and quality standards. Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and clinical demands.
License/Certifications:
Current license to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio required; Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC), Inc. for Athletic Trainers preferred; BLS required.
