Job description Happy Ears Hearing Center is seeking 4th year externs for the 2027-2028 academic year. Happy Ears Hearing Center has multiple Audiologists on our team, and the supervising audiologists are ASHA-certified (CCC-A). The patient population we serve includes infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. Happy Ears Hearing Center is an upscale audiology private practice serving the entire Phoenix Valley. We have 4 locations and work with multiple ENT Physicians as well as Otologists. Happy Ears Hearing Center has a strong commitment to education and we are passionate about what we do. We believe that all individuals should have access to high-quality and personalized hearing healthcare. The experiences you will gain during this externship include, but are not limited to, the following areas of audiology: Newborn Hearing Screenings Hearing Diagnostics Hearing Aid Fittings Pediatric Evaluations and Fittings Counseling Aural Rehabilitation Auditory Electrophysiology Tinnitus Management and Treatment Cochlear implant mapping BAHA fittings Real Ear Verification Testing Surgical Observations for Cochlear Implants Neurodiagnostics (rotary chair, etc) BPPV Treatment Additional training in private practice including: Marketing Vendor Relationships Hearing Device Manufacturer Training Building Rapport with patients Front office training experience Billing experience Learn how to manage office procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for audiology are required.
