Job Description
Rocky Mountain Ear Center, in collaboration with Cochlear Americas, is offering a well-rounded externship position for graduate students in audiology seeking advanced experience in both clinical and industry settings. Three days would be spent at Rocky Mountain Ear Center in a specialized neurotology setting, providing comprehensive training focused on cochlear implant evaluations and reprogramming, hearing aid evaluations and fittings, vestibular and balance testing, and other specialized audiological assessments. Working alongside 4 experienced audiologists and 2 neurotologists, the extern will participate in patient care across the lifespan, contributing to diagnostic processes and treatment planning. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop clinical expertise in a multidisciplinary environment dedicated to hearing and balance disorders. The other two days, you'll spend time in the headquarters of Cochlear Americas, a world leader in implantable hearing technology, where you'll work alongside audiologists who play major roles in various areas of industry, including clinical research, product development, real-time clinician support, reimbursement, marketing, and more. We require our applicants to be: Currently enrolled in an accredited audiology doctoral program Motivated to pursue a broad and balanced clinical experience Interest in research is strongly recommended
