Focused Veteran Hearing Evaluations This is an evaluation-only assignment. The audiologist conducts standardized examinations and documents objective findings related to each Veteran's claimed hearing conditions. The role does not involve ongoing hearing treatment or management of a traditional patient panel. Disability determinations are made by the appropriate government agency and are not decided by the examining audiologist. The structured workflow allows the audiologist to focus on accurate testing, professional Veteran interactions, and timely documentation. Responsibilities Conduct in-person audiology disability examinations. Review relevant medical and service records. Discuss claimed hearing conditions and relevant history with each Veteran. Perform required audiological testing according to established protocols. Document objective clinical findings clearly and accurately. Complete required Disability Benefits Questionnaires and medical opinions when applicable. Submit examination reports within required timelines. Follow established quality and documentation standards. Maintain a respectful, professional experience for each Veteran. Keep testing equipment and the examination space ready for scheduled appointments.
