Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Audiologist ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-A) preferred Previous experience working with school-aged children or within a school district is highly valued Strong communication skills for interactions with students, parents, and staff Ability to work independently and professionally in a school setting Up-to-date knowledge of hearing assessments, devices, and relevant laws/regulations
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing screenings and diagnostic evaluations Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized intervention plans Recommend and help manage auditory equipment, such as hearing aids and FM/DM systems Provide in-service training and support to school personnel and families Document all services and maintain detailed records in accordance with state and federal requirements Serve as a resource and advocate for students with hearing challenges
