The Department of Hearing and Speech at Weill Cornell Medicine is pleased to announce openings for five fourth-year Doctor of Audiology externship positions in New York City. Externs will gain comprehensive clinical experience across a wide range of specialty audiology services within a fast-paced academic medical center. Clinical training serves diverse patient populations from pediatric through geriatric care.

• Conduct appropriate comprehensive behavioral and objective audiological evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Perform hearing device evaluations, programming, fitting, repair and follow-up for patient's with hearing aids, FM systems, bone conduction devices and/or CROS systems
• Conduct vestibular assessments
• Counsel and educate patients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies, the use of hearing devices, etc
• Evaluate potential cochlear implant recipients
• Perform routine cochlear implant mapping and troubleshooting
• Evaluate cochlear implant outcomes
