Job Description
Job Description The Audiologist conducts audiological evaluations, hearing screenings, and diagnostic assessments for students referred for special education services. The Audiologist prepares compliant reports, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and supports eligibility determinations in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities Conduct audiological evaluations for students referred through the special education evaluation process Administer and interpret hearing screenings and diagnostic assessments Prepare clear, compliant evaluation reports aligned with IDEA and TEA requirements Participate in ARD/IEP meetings as needed to present findings and support eligibility decisions Collaborate with Educational Diagnosticians, Speech-Language Pathologists, and School Psychologists Maintain documentation and service logs in accordance with district procedures Provide consultation to staff and parents regarding hearing concerns, accommodations, and intervention strategies Review outside audiological evaluations provided by families or external agencies Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal, state, and district reporting requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Audiology License Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong report-writing and communication skills Ability to pass a background check (IdentoGO) Reliable transportation for travel between assigned campuses Valid Texas driver's license
