9644880-78212 Job Description Step into a vital role supporting students' auditory needs across a dynamic school cluster in San Antonio, Texas. This on-site, contract opportunity calls for an experienced Audiologist passionate about working with Pre-K12 students. The majority of evaluations, fittings, and troubleshooting sessions are based at Mission Academy, serving as your home base, but youll also provide support across other campuses as needed. Flexible scheduling is available, with approximately 1520 hours spread over 23 days each week, designed to fit your lifestyle while making a difference for over 50 students districtwide.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Audiology required Minimum 5 years experience in school-based or equivalent clinical audiology settings ASHA certification (waiver granted if already certified) Valid state license to practice audiology and to fit/repair hearing aids Successful passage of required licensing exams Must complete fingerprinting and background check prior to starting

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for PK12 students, predominantly at Mission Academy Fit and repair hearing aids, ensuring device functionality and student satisfaction Provide on-site and occasional districtwide troubleshooting and support in partnership with itinerant teachers Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation for each case Collaborate closely with district staff, including support from Maibel Tamez, to coordinate and deliver timely audiological services Adapt to changing caseload needs, prioritizing students bused in for centralized services
