Job Description
ABA Services of Alabama is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our team. Our RBTs provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in their homes while working closely with our BCBA and clinical team. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with children, are dependable, patient, and committed to helping each child build meaningful skills and greater independence. What You'll Do As an RBT, you will: Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in their homes Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a BCBA Work on communication, social, daily living, and other functional skills Collect and record accurate data during therapy sessions Follow behavior intervention and treatment protocols Assist with skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and the clinical team Participate in ongoing training and clinical supervision Maintain confidentiality and follow all company and professional standards Build positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Reliable and punctual Patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with children Professional and able to communicate effectively with families and team members Comfortable working in a home-based environment Able to follow detailed treatment plans and instructions Willing to learn and receive ongoing feedback Able to maintain accurate documentation and data collection Comfortable being active and engaged throughout therapy sessions Previous ABA or RBT experience is preferred but not required for all applicants. We encourage individuals who are interested in beginning or continuing a career in ABA to apply. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Must meet applicable requirements to work as an RBT RBT certification preferred; candidates who are eligible to pursue RBT certification may also be considered Must be able to reliably travel to clients' homes within our service area Must successfully complete required background and employment screening Must be able to work collaboratively with the BCBA and clinical team What We Expect From Our RBTs Working as an RBT requires more than simply showing up for scheduled sessions. We expect our team members to be reliable, professional, prepared, and engaged . Because our services take place in clients' homes, dependability and professionalism are especially important. Our RBTs are expected to arrive on time, communicate appropriately with families and supervisors, follow treatment plans, complete documentation accurately, and remain actively engaged with the client throughout the session.
