Category Schools - BCBA Job Type Contract Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students? A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a talented BCBA skilled in supporting K-8 learners in a collaborative school environment near Pelham, AL. In this dynamic role, you'll connect with educators, students, and families to promote positive behavioral change and contribute to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete thorough Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and design tailored Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) to address individual student needs Work in close partnership with teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to develop proactive, effective behavioral strategies Monitor student progress through systematic data collection and analysis; adjust interventions as necessary based on outcomes Lead staff training sessions and offer ongoing support in behavior management and the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques Ensure accurate documentation for all behavior services and maintain compliance with relevant state, federal, and district regulations
Qualifications:
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing Direct experience working with school-aged children (K-8), with preference for candidates who have supported learners in educational environments Strong verbal and written communication abilities, as well as effective collaboration and organizational skills Proven ability to manage multiple student cases, prioritize responsibilities, and meet critical deadlines Familiarity with relevant special education laws, ethical guidelines, and evidence-based practices This position provides the chance to make a lasting impact through leading-edge behavioral support and educational collaboration in a vibrant school setting.
