Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. We are located in Sylacauga Alabama and are looking for employees to help our business grow. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically those with autism. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Collect and analyze data on client behavior and progress towards goals
  • Support individuals in developing and improving social skills
  • Provide reinforcement and positive feedback to encourage desired behaviors
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure the well-being of clients at all times
Experience:
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism, is preferred
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
