Position Overview:

The Student Analyst position is designed for graduate students pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This career pathway allows employees to progressively develop the clinical competencies necessary for independent practice while completing graduate coursework and supervised fieldwork. Student Analysts continue providing direct ABA services as Registered Behavior Technicians while gradually assuming increased responsibilities in assessment, programming, supervision, parent training, and case management under the supervision of a licensed BCBA. Advancement through each tier is based upon successful completion of objective milestones, demonstrated competency, and approval from clinical leadership. Beginning graduate ABA program and beginning supervised fieldwork

Student Analyst II:

Second half of graduate program AND completed half of the required fieldwork hours

Student Analyst III:

Continue working primarily as an RBT Observe assessments Learn data analysis Assist with program updates Participate in clinical meetings Complete unrestricted fieldwork assignments Begin learning parent training procedures Student Analyst II Increasing clinical independence and developing applied clinical skills. Maintain an assigned client caseload under BCBA supervision Assist with treatment planning Conduct portions of assessments Develop skill acquisition programs Assist with behavior reduction programming Conduct treatment integrity observations Train new RBTs on client procedures Provide performance feedback under BCBA supervision Student Analyst III Developing advanced clinical decision-making and preparing for transition to independent BCBA practice Manage a designated supervised caseload Conduct comprehensive assessments with BCBA review Draft treatment plans and behavior intervention plans Lead portions of parent training Assist with insurance authorizations and reviews Mentor RBTs and Student Analysts I & II Provide increased supervision and support to RBT staff under BCBA direction Coordinate supervision schedules Lead team meetings as assigned Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration Function as primary clinical support under BCBA supervision Supervision Student Analysts receive ongoing supervision from a licensed BCBA consistent with BACB fieldwork requirements. Clinical responsibilities increase only after competency has been demonstrated and approved.
