Job Overview 50 Stars Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician (BT) to support students in a school-based setting in Alameda, CA. The ideal candidate will provide individualized behavioral, academic, and classroom support while helping students develop positive behaviors, communication skills, and independence. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support to students. Implement behavior-support strategies and ABA-based interventions as directed by the supervising team. Support students with academic assignments and classroom activities. Assist with transitions, routines, social skills, and communication development. Follow student behavior plans, IEP accommodations, and classroom procedures. Collect and document behavioral and student-progress data. Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment. Collaborate with Special Education Teachers, BCBA/behavior specialists, related service providers, and school staff. Support students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with children or students preferred. Experience with autism, special education, behavioral support, or ABA is a plus. RBT certification or RBT training is a plus but not required. Strong communication, patience, reliability, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a school-based environment.
