Job Description About us Restoration Recovery Center is a small business in Colfax, CA 95713. We are a compassionate and client-centered substance abuse treatment center dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction. Our multidisciplinary team provides evidence-based care in a supportive, respectful, and healing environment. Our work environment includes:
  • Supportive atmosphere Overnight Behavioral Technician The Overnight Behavioral Technician is responsible for the supervision of clients in a social-model detoxification/Residential treatment setting.
The Overnight Behavioral Technician shall provide a safe, supportive, and caring environment in which the clients will continue their recovery. The Overnight Behavioral Technician is expected to cooperate as a team member with Restoration Recovery Treatment Center management and clinical staff team. The Overnight Behavioral Technician has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to clients and employees. He/she is knowledgeable of the treatment process and the problem issues presented by clients participating in Restoration Recovery Treatment Center programs. The Overnight Behavioral Technician is responsible to provide a safe, comfortable, and clean residence for clients during their treatment at Restoration Recovery Center.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Valid CDL
  • Minimum 6 months of sobriety if in recovery.
RADT, SUDRC
certification within the 90-day probationary period.
  • Experience in substance use disorder field.
  • Ability to develop rapport with clients in a treatment setting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must work independently and as part of the team.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a challenging environment.
  • Superior time management and calendaring skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Current Naloxone Certification.
  • Current TB test clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This includes but is not limited to:
  • Manage and supervise clients by enforcing program rules and guidelines.
  • Maintain overall upkeep and cleanliness of assigned facility.
  • Report all health and safety hazards and facility and/or vehicle maintenance/ repair problems to the Safety Officer.
  • Proficiency in all facets of client intakes and discharges, including ability to follow checklists and flowcharts and proper communication.
  • Complete intake process with new admits: conduct body and property search, collect UA, breathalyze clients, complete client consents and interviews, log client's valuables, and send out intake email (and any other tasks outlined in applicable checklists).
  • Complete discharge process: assist with compiling medications (if applicable), preparation of personal property, obtain necessary signatures, including release of client property and valuables, send out discharge email, prepare room for new intake (and any other tasks outlined in applicable checklists).
  • Monitor and record client medications including medication counts according to RRC policies and procedures.
  • Assist clients with medication self-administration according to RRC policies and procedures and document in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Client rounds documentation (Observation Logs) as prescribed by Providers and RRC policies and procedures.
  • Provide safe, supervised, client transportation to scheduled off-site activities (12
  • Step meetings, outings, physician appointments, recreational and recovery-related activities, etc.).
  • Conduct residence orientation for new clients, which includes providing clients with program expectations and rules, reviewing safety information and locations of fire extinguishers, emergency evacuation diagram, exit routes, evacuation procedures, and first-aid kits.
  • Participate in mandatory ongoing Health & Safety and Human Resources training sessions as required by RRC.
  • Attend weekly mandatory Operations staff meetings.
  • Responsible for wake-up calls, client attendance of daily recovery activities as scheduled, and assisting clients by consistently enforcing house and program rules and curfews.
  • Refer client to his/her therapist/counselor for psychological/emotional issues.
  • Responsible for providing a written end of shift report and email.
  • Completes daily chores to support upkeep of the facility.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of company vehicles and following rules before, during and after transport.
  • Facilitates substance abuse group sessions (such as Morning Meditation) as assigned and completes documentation within 24 hours.
  • Demonstrates awareness of client's physical and emotional state through observation and interaction, and reports observations to appropriate team(s).
  • Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in work environment.
  • Understands the chain of command and who to notify (and how to notify) under various circumstances.
  • Completes and forwards Incident Reports and any other safety/risk concerns immediately to Operations Director and/or Safety Officer.
  • Adheres to RRC policies and procedures and the MSBH Employee Handbook.
  • Understands and follows policy for Client Rights and Cultural Diversity.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA privacy and client confidentiality laws.
  • Uphold and enforce the RRC's standards, policies and procedures, and professional code of ethics and conduct.
