In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to promote independence, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored care that fosters growth and stability. This position offers an engaging opportunity to empower individuals through active engagement, behavioral support, and health management. Duties Deliver direct care services to individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and behavioral health needs, including autism spectrum disorders and substance use disorders. Implement behavior intervention plans utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors and skill development. Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and routine health monitoring including vital signs. Support mental health and behavioral care through crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation, electronic health records (EHR), and client data while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Conduct intake assessments, behavioral observations, data collection, and progress reports to inform ongoing care planning. Collaborate with families, clinicians, and educators to develop individualized plans that support client goals and ensure consistent care delivery. Skills Experience working with children and youth in educational or clinical settings. Strong background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of mental health practices including PTSD care, addiction counseling, crisis management, and de-escalation techniques. Proficiency in medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to implement behavior management strategies using applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles. Excellent client communication skills coupled with compassionate listening and support capabilities. Skilled in data collection for progress tracking and treatment adjustments; experience working with behavioral health or social work is highly valued.
