Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our dynamic behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting behavioral assessments, and providing patient-centered care that promotes meaningful progress. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a positive impact through evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans designed by licensed clinicians to support clients' developmental and behavioral goals. Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Assist in conducting diagnostic evaluations and intake assessments to determine client needs and develop personalized care strategies. Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment that encourages learning and growth. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including special education professionals, therapists, and medical staff—to coordinate care plans. Engage in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, patient assessment, and evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis methodologies. Familiarity with medical records management, patient care procedures, and medical documentation standards. Experience supporting individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental conditions is advantageous. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining client confidentiality in healthcare settings. Background in special education or related fields enhances the ability to tailor interventions effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care are essential for success in this role.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
